The legendary Stelvio Pass

Solda is an ideal starting point for a trip to the Stelvio Pass, the highest mountain pass in Italy. The famous pass road to which the Giro d’Italia repeatedly leads, is located in the Ortles Alps and is considered a real highlight for every motorcyclist. The Passo dello Stelvio, as the South Tyrolean pass highlight is called in Italian, leads over countless hairpin bends up to almost 2,800 metres. The Stelvio Pass connects Bormio in the Lombardy region.

This day tour is 240 km long. First you have to conquer the legendary Stelvio Pass northeast ramp. Then the road leads through Bormio to the Gavia Pass. The next stop is called Tonale Pass. From there you ride through the Val di Sole past the towns of Monclassico and Livo. The road continues through the Ultimo Valley to Lana, Meran and through the Venosta Valley back to Solda to your motorcycle hotel.
